October 2007: Gerhard Ertl from the Fritz-Haber-Institute in Berlin wins the Nobel Prize for Chemistry (press release). After the Max-Planck Institute for Quantum Optics in Garching now for the second time the Nobel Prize goes to an institute that uses the Dynamic laser beam stabilization of MRC.
